The other thing I'm still trying to resolve is why my men are still standing in a two-deep line. The battle was really just a massive artillery duel with my guys getting the worst of it, so what Pajol could have done was pretty limited. I tried it last night but couldn't see any obvious impact, but then I'm not sure what I expected to see so it may have worked. 'Pajol order your cavalry to guard the Corps Artillery.'

The other command I was experimenting with last night night was the Cavalry Guard command, where you can say. Which I thought was quite impressive as trying to do that just with the point and click tool it would have been difficult to get the intervals between units correct.Īs you can see on the map I've also had some success in controlling my cavalry scouts and can get them to scout for the enemy in specific locations now rather than all rushing off in a huddle in one direction. The result was a nicely formed Corps two divisions in depth with artillery deployed to its front. 'Corps artillery move to the front of Morand.' 'Pajol's Cavalry move to the rear of Morand.' 'Compan's Division move to the rear of Gudin.' 'Dessaix's Division move to the rear of Friant.' 'Gudin's Division move to the right of Morand.' 'Friant's Division move to the left of Morand.' 'Morand's Division move to my front centre.' I successfully tried forming my Corps for battle by a simple series of orders.

However, it did give me a chance to experiment with some of the other commands in the courier menu that I normally don't try to use, and that was quite interesting.įor example: 'Move to the flank of.' seems to work perfectly, and is very similar to the Peter Turcan syntax but without the linking option. But it didn't work and they remained stubbornly silent despite my best efforts. I was trying to replace the Fr_March.wav sound file with a recording I'd made of a selection of French marching songs, so that my men would sing as they marched into battle rather than just having the drum cadence. These are shots from a test game I was using last night to try out some changes to the French marching music. A few cool screenshots from my experimentation playing with the KS Mod.
